Bob Squarebriggs

For the past few weeks, the Visitor Information Center has had the honour of having Bob Squarebriggs visit each Friday afternoon. While at the facility, Bob has been working on his carvings and model ships. The tourists who pass by take true delight in seeing such a talented craftsman making progress on his delicate works.

Each of the intricately crafted models is different, and it's not uncommon that one piece take upwards of six months to complete. After having spent nearly 40 years practicing his carvings, Squarebriggs admits that he's "still learning" though it's most definitely a "labour of love".

Such labour intensively work and sheer attention to detail produce some truly amazing pieces of art, many of which are currently on display at the Highway #11 VIC.

Feel free to visit Bob on Fridays from 1-3pm throughout the summer months.
